Welcome to Graham Brown Percussion

We're in the process of setting up a permanent website, but for now this is the home of Graham Brown on the web. Below you will find descriptions for all the services I offer. Are you keen to improve your solo drumming? Need an instructor for your band or workshop? Whatever your drumming needs may be I look forward to working with you soon.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
I am currently accepting students for individual lessons, either in person in Milton, Ontario, or worldwide via SKYPE. Whether you are a complete novice or an advanced player needing a bit of touching up, lessons will be tailored to your needs.

BAND WORKSHOPS
Whether you're looking to plan a one off workshop, or are interested in setting up recurring visits, I am available for both. Often combined with custom score writing, I'll travel to work with a band that has had me write their music.

CLINICS
Maybe you're looking at organizing a clinic not only for your band but for drummers from all over your region. We can create a workshop that covers many areas or specializes in a few.

SCORE WRITING
Do you need an MSR for solo competition? or a medley for your band? I can be commissioned to write your drum scores. My music has been played for years by many successful drum corps worldwide, at all levels, Grade 5 to Grade 1. Bass and Tenor music can also be composed.

ADJUDICATION
I am a certified snare drum adjudicator with the Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario, and a member of the organizations Music Board. I've judged throughout North America, and can be booked for 2010 contests now.

WEEK LONG SCHOOLS
I teach at many different week long schools every year, and am always looking to add more.

To arrange one of the above services I can be contacted at grahambrown13@hotmail.com

BIO
Graham began drumming in the fall of 1991 at the age of 9. He started his drumming career as the Lead Drummer of the Milton Optimist Pipe Band, founded by his mother Gail. The band was very successful, winning the World Juvenile Championships in 1994, and the Grade 3 Worlds in 1997. After four years of playing Grade 1 in Ontario, Graham moved to Scotland to play with Jim Kilpatrick and the Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band in 2002. With Shotts, Graham won 2 World Pipe Band Championships, 3 World Drum Corps Championships, 4 Drum Corps Champion of Champions titles, and amassed a total of 16 Major Drumming Wins. In 2007 he returned home to Canada and was named the Lead Drummer of the Grade 1 Peel Regional Police Pipe Band. In the solo realm, Graham has won the North American Championships at Maxville five times (out of 7 tries), the Agnew-Harrison Invitational five times, the Kansas City Gold Medal, and has been a Finalist at the World Solo Drumming Championships. Graham teaches private lessons, workshops, and schools internationally. He is a certified judge, and sits on the Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario's Music Board.
